A good value in noise-canceling headphones

Author's ReviewI purchased these headphones to use with a portable DVD player. While using the DVD player on an airplane, the engine noise made it hard to hear the movie, even with the volume turned as high as it would go.
Shopping for noise-reduction and noise-canceling headphones revealed everything from $500 Bose models down to $20 Audiovox versions, with everything in between. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but also wanted a product that would accomplish the goal of reduced noise. These headphones, for $60, were a good value for the money. The package comes with the headphones, one AAA battery, a storage pouch (heavyweight vinyl with fabric interior), a 4.9 foot connector from the phones to the plug, and two converters: one for airplane plus and the other a 3.5mm to 1/4". These headphones do as they promise and effectively block out noise. They also provide a surprisingly high sound quality. They are comfortable to wear, even for long periods, and easily adjust to fit your head and stay adjusted. They also fold up into a very compact form that fits easily into a carryon bag. These attributes make this an excellent product for traveling.
