by  mwhitlock,  Apr 29, 2000
Pros: decent speed, long battery life, GSM port
Cons: can't think of any
Review: The Palm V modem makes a superb and indispensable addition to your Palm handheld device.
Right out of the box, it allows you to HotSync your Palm with your computer by dialing your computer's modem. But this is only the first of many great uses for...

by  DrDaveC,  Apr 19, 2000
Pros: With the right software, allows your PDA to be completely connected while on the road. GSM cell phones supported!
Cons: Price a bit steep for a 33.6K modem, 56K would be nice. Battery life is a bit short.
Review: The Clip-On Modem for the Palm V/Vx series PDA's runs at a respectable 33.6Kbps, this compared to the Palm Modem for the older III series and original Pro/Personal PDA units which are limited to 14.4 Kbps. The modem is also physically less cumbersom as...

Epinions Palm Remote Internet

by  RichBoston,  Aug 6, 2000
Pros: Converts your existing Palm, Works with Nokia and Ericsson Cell Phones
Cons: This is not a wireless modem and is somewhat slow
Review: This is device caught in the netherworld between technologies. Unless you have a very specific application need, either wait for something better to come along or upgrade to a wireless Palm VII. Palm is already advertising that a “higher speed modem is...

by  Aaron_Abq,  Dec 1, 1999
Pros: Allows access to data in a hurry
Cons: Bulky and not very stable
Review: Quentin Tarantino made "Destiny turns on the radio", Dana Carvey left Saturday Night Live to become a movie star. Now you are asking, "What is the point of all this?" The point, everyone makes mistakes and Palm is no different. This...
