Epinions Review 150: Ninja Magic

by  flash-hammer,  Jul 31, 2004
Pros: ITS A NEAR PERFECT GAME
Cons: The front cover isnt great, a bit hard for some
The Bottom Line: An epic adventure that truly is one of the best games ever, Ninja Gaiden should be owned by all fans of games. And Ninjas.
Review: For my 150th Review, I decided to go for something a bit special. I thought about Special movies, but I did that one for review 150. Special CDs? none that come to mind that I havent already reviewed. Special games was left. Without a doubt the most ...

Epinions Ninja Gaiden - Love to Stay but Places to Go and People to Kill

by  vadimio,  Jul 25, 2004
Pros: amazing combat system, three older Ninja Gaiden games can be unlocked, jaw-dropping visuals, good challenge
Cons: excessively difficult
The Bottom Line: If you can overcome and learn to appreciate Ninja Gaiden’s difficulty, then this will become one of your favorite Xbox games.
Review: Hack and slash ninja games have been fading in popularity recently, and there is a certain lack of them for the next-generation consoles. Thus, when Tecmo announced that they would be releasing Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox, everyone knew that this would be ...

Epinions Simply put, you need to buy this game.

by  _dek_,  Jul 12, 2004
Pros: Extremely fun and extremely fast gameplay, amazing graphics, just an overall amazing game.
Cons: A laughable story that takes itself seriously.
The Bottom Line: One of the greatest Xbox games of all time, up there with Halo, KOTOR, and Morrowind.
Review: Ninja Gaiden is the latest title from the world renowned video game creator, Tonomobu Itagaki and his development house Team Ninja. Ninja Gaiden is the long awaited follow-up to a triliogy of NES games of the same name. You again reprise the role of Ryu ...

Epinions Ninja Gaiden: the fight club of video games...

by  andrew_rage,  Dec 12, 2004
Pros: Looks, plays, sounds, and is, for all intents and purposes, perfect.
Cons: Very difficult, some camera issues (fixed by Hurrican Pack Vol 1 however)
The Bottom Line: This game is the best current example of what the Xbox is capable of, and how well the action genre can be done. Outstanding.
Review: Ninja Gaiden is the fight club of video games. You go in made of dough, but you come out carved of wood. The difficulty level is a challenge, at least. The earlier games in the series were never easy (they are in this too, as unlockables), but this one ...

Epinions down your mask and start the slicing and dicing

by  TheGump,  Jul 21, 2004
Pros: Unbeliveble gameplay, great weapon selection. too many pros to right in a 15 word maximum
Cons: You will spend alot of time making money to buy potions and weapon upgrades.
The Bottom Line: The bottom line is that if you own a xbox this game is a must. If you don't have an xbox, get one so you can play it. :)
Review: The ways of the ninja aren't something that the majority of us are familiar with. Yet Tecmo's new action-adventure Ninja Gaiden offers a fairly rigorous schooling. To me it one of Xbox's finest, most enjoyable games. From the beginning, it drips with ...

Epinions A Fun, Challenging Game

by  absolutexeno,  Jun 27, 2004
Pros: -Nice Graphics -Fun Gameplay -Appropriately challenging
Cons: -Lacking in variety -Poor storyline -May be too difficult for some gamers -Annoying camera
The Bottom Line: Buy this game is you enjoy fast-paced ninja action. Don't expect a good storyline, or anything more than a fairly straightforward, at times frustrating action/adventure game.
Review: Introduction: Ninja games have become somewhat of an anomaly in this era of 3D gaming, and it's a shame, too. There's nothing quite like being able to jump extra high, run up walls, throw shuriken, and chop enemies up until little pieces with your ...

Epinions A great moment in ninja history

by  twotone_,  Jul 24, 2004
Pros: Excellent graphics, fun challenging gameplay, the ability to unlock Ninja Gaiden 1-3
Cons: Lets just say the story could use some work.
The Bottom Line: A must have if your an X-box owner.
Review: The ninja is a natural star for video games-he offers a distinct look, a mysterious demeanor, and most of all, he's an a-number-one bad-@$$. Ninjas once ruled arcades and consoles during the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, but all have but vanished in recent ...

Epinions Fun, then anger, then more fun (repeat)

by  lordhesh,  Jun 15, 2004
Pros: Very fun, very good lucking, very cool moves, very cool game
Cons: VERY HARD! VERY... very...very...VERY... hard.
The Bottom Line: I enjoyed it. Found it fun, looks great, the moves you pull off are just awe inspiring, controls are tight and easy to get use to.
Review: I loved this game... and ... then I hated it... but then I loved it again! This game was fun... very very fun. You can upgrade your weapons, learn more moves, and battle same damn cool looking bad guys in some very good looking environments. Fallowing ...

Epinions Ninja Gaiden: Unless you're among the elite, prepare for frustration

by  s_trimble,  Jul 1, 2004
Pros: Visually stunning; fluid, graceful movements; amazingly deep fighting engine for an adventure game.
Cons: Difficulty is simply too hard for anyone but the elite gamer.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended to anyone who wants a challenge like no other. To the easily frustrated: Steer clear.
Review: Ninja Gaiden is, without question, a visually beautiful game, brilliantly executed. It's the story of Ryu Hayabusa, a young ninja who must seek revenge for a the killing of a family member. Standard story. What's not standard is the visual ...

Epinions Any harder and Hayabusa would consider retirement

by  swordofriva,  Jun 15, 2006
Pros: Well, if you're an action-game monster you might like it
Cons: Everyone else will break their controllers at the obnoxious difficulty
The Bottom Line: Ninja Gaiden is like some trick by Microsoft: If you break your controller, you obviously have to go get another one, causing you to give more money to them.
Review: Ah, Ninja Gaiden, a game that has been given lavish praise by gamers, game reviewers, and ninja junkies since the day it released. I rented this game unaware of just how hard it was. I assumed that a lot of people just said "Oh, this game is hard" but ...
