Consumer Review

Comfortable. Exceptional price if you search the web.

by  lovehifi,   Jan 13, 2008

Pros:  Exceptional price. Ease of use. Extremely comfortable. No protruding ear-piece.

Cons:  NONE.

The Bottom Line:  At $20, this headset is a fantastic bargain. MOTOROLA is a huge electronics company. They have been around a long time. I'd recommend n1wireless.com to anyone.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I bought two different bluetooth wireless headsets for my wife, to use with her CHOCOLATE phone. She did not like either headset. I reviewed one of them. Both were uncomfortable. Both seemed too insecure, as though they would fall off. She also did not like the ear pieces protruding into her ear. The headsets did not sit 'right' on her ear.

Then we found the MOTOROLA H5OO in a local store (TARGET). She tried one on, as the package had been opened by someone and returned. She loved the fit.

TARGET wanted $59.99 (on sale). I researched on-line. TARGET.com wanted $39.99 (on sale).

I found the unit at n1wireless.com for $19.99 with FREE S/H and NO TAX (in one specific color). Other available colors cost the same, but you'd have to pay another $8 or so in S/H.

We received the headset in 3 days. The free budget S/H was via Post Office Priority Mail. It arrived in a bubble wrap envelope.

NOTE ON COUNTERFEIT:
Be careful when looking on-line. Some too-good-to-be-true sales are just that. The on-line store from which I purchased is located in New York and is reputable.
If an on-line store does not have an address, that is a dead give away they may be fraudulent. Some of the on-line stores advertising this headset may be counterfeit, in my opinion. The funny thing is,n1wireless.com was still cheaper, because of the free S/H.
The people at n1wireless.com offer other helpful information to that end. It is worth reading.
(I've purchased a counterfeit item once on-line. It can and does happen).

Why my wife likes the H500:
It is very comfortable. All bluetooth headsets are light weight and comfortable. But, this headset is different in some ways.

There is NO earpiece to stick into your ear. The side of this headset is totally flat. It just fits flush against the ear.

Yet, my wife states she can hear this headset as clearly as any other.

The power button is larger and easy to find without feeling around.

The volume control is also easy to find and adjust.

She has used the headset several times and all calls were without incident. The callers at the other end had no problems hearing her either.

When she operates the volume control button, she can hear 'clicks' which helps her make headset adjustments.

I believe you can turn OFF the blue power light if you prefer.

Connecting the headset to the phone is easy. Just go to the bluetooth section of your phone and do a search. Your phone will find the headset and that is it. Very simple.

Of all the headsets she has used, she much prefers the MOTOROLA H500. The comfort level is her deciding factor. The ease of operation (finding the buttons) also is a factor.

At $20 out-the-door, how can you lose?
