Cons: Not optimized for Xbox's hardware; Newly added missions are... added on.
The Bottom Line: Metal Gear Solid is a fantastic game with a great storyline. The game itself is more movie than game, but the additional content provides plenty of action.
Review: When I was trying to decide whether I was going to purchase a Playstation 2 or an Xbox, I kept looking back at the PS2 shelf and eyeing Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The store keeper noticed this and said, "In case you're wondering, they're...
Pros: Awesome graphics, sound effects, and gripping story line
Cons: Story can become confusing if you don't pay attention
The Bottom Line: Don't miss this awesome game, it's one of the best around, bar none
Review: A mysterious figure in a pitch-black rain coat walks slowly along the George Washington Bridge during a downpour. He stops and removes the cigarette he has been smoking then starts running. As a bolt of lightning flashes he throws off his raincoat ...
Pros: It's Metal Gear on X-box! Tons of extras, great variety
Cons: The graphics aren't any better, not that great if you already own MGS2
The Bottom Line: It is a must have game if you do not have the original MGS2 on the Playstation 2. Otherwise, don't bother. If you must, rent it for the extras.
Review: Metal Gear Solid 2 was perhaps the best game of the year last year, unfortunately it was only on the Playstation 2. Now, X-box owners can rejoice. MGS2 has finally come home, and with substance.
Pros: Game has many extra parts that must be completed to advance.
Cons: You have to watch nearly 4 hours of videos to understand the game!!!
The Bottom Line: Pick this thing up now before they come out with another one and fall farther behind.
Review: The adventures of Solid Snake have been told over several different consoles, but it found its home with the Playstation with the release of Metal Gear Solid--arguable one of the best games that console ever produced and a fan favorite. Its sequel,...
Pros: Cleaner graphics, VR missions; MGS2 is still one of the best games out there.
Cons: This game is actually a year and a half old.
The Bottom Line: If you own an Xbox and never played Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Substance is right up your alley. If you have, though, there's nothing to see here.
Review: As I mentioned in my review of the PlayStation2 version of this game, I really didn't see a purpose behind releasing Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance on Sony's console. It was so similar to Sons of Liberty that I really couldn't justify paying full price for...
Pros: Lots of cenemas, good graphics, nice concept
Cons: Lots of cenemas (it can go both ways), hard controls
The Bottom Line: The game has a nice concept and graphics, but I just don't like the game.
Review: I had just gotten my XBOX and I was so happy. I really wanted Splinter Cell, but all the stores were sold out. I saw this game, and I remembered playing the first one at my friends house. I decided it would be a pretty cool game so i picked it up....
