by  fear_the_kat,  Dec 20, 2003
Pros: Superb storyline, excellent graphics and enemy A.I.
Cons: Scene after credits is kind of a let-down; several VR missions close to impossible.
The Bottom Line: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - Substance is a great game packed with adventure and mystery that will keep anyone in suspense as they play it.
Review: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Substance) is the 4th game in a series, full of action, adventure, and mystery. The series itself has come a long way. Beginning on Nintendo, working it's way up to Playstation, and then finally Playstation 2. ...

Epinions A substancial upgrade

by  soiidsnake,  Jul 1, 2003
Pros: Great graphics, tense stealth gameplay, sublime voice acting, awesome story, and tons of extra bits!
Cons: The VR missions are re-used too much, the skateboarding is lame.
The Bottom Line: Overall, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, is a worthy buy that no serious Metal Gear fan- or action/adventure fan, period, should be without.
Review: How often do console games get special editions? Think about that for a minute. So? You can coun the ...

by  defiantvoice,  Jun 2, 2005
Pros: 350+VR missions + SNAKE TALES extras, amazing graphics, great original story
Cons: some weird extras (skateboarding), PS2 showing its age!
The Bottom Line: IF you are a die hard MGS fan you must own it! But the extras and game are enough for the casual gamer alone, a worthy purchase indeed.

by  onetuffcowboy,  Mar 22, 2003
Pros: Still one of the most beautiful, highly-produced games around.
Cons: It's basically a year and a half old.
The Bottom Line: If yoou've played MGS2 already, don't bother. Of course, if you haven't by now, you probably never wanted to inthe first place.
Review: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is hands-down the best game to hit PlayStation2 to date, because of its stealthy gameplay, epic tale and unprecedented cinematic presentation. The game came in with a seemingly unlimited amount of hype and lived up to...
