Epinions Fly and fight with the best

by  buzzard_cad,  Jul 25, 2005
Pros: Interior cockpits with moving components, attention to detail and accuracy, a realistic flight model
Cons: Career missions can take a long time, a rigid career structure
The Bottom Line: Well detailed flight simulator that is cheap as chips and still fun to play.
Review: ~Summary~ This is a very good game that is best suited to people who prefer realistic flight simulators, it is best played with a joystick. Each mission may last a long time and the game cannot be saved mid-mission. The career structure is rigid and the ...

Epinions One of better WW II simulations

by  vrana007,  Jul 29, 2005
Pros: Lots of mission, mission editor. Game doesn't need CD to run.
Cons: Lack of views. Germany could have bombers for you to fly. OpenGl. Unrealizam.
The Bottom Line: In WW II air support was important part of frontline. Protect your units by blowing enemies up and bringing bombers down. Great simulation, with highly detailed gameplay.
Review: IL2 is one of better air combat simulations. It has highly realistic level of flying. Depends if you play on easy, medium and hard. On easy you turn off things as turbulence, or engine overheats, or limited ammo, but on hard level you experience ...

Epinions The best flight sim, bar none

by  asheitaka,  Apr 24, 2003
Pros: Unparallelled flight realism, graphics, and gameplay.
Cons: Steep learning curve.
The Bottom Line: The best flight sim ever made (with exception to it's sequal, Forgotten Battles) Anyone who says CFS3 is better is mistaken.
Review: IL-2 Sturmovik is already widely regarded among the flight sim community as the best flight video game ever made. Its impossible to describe everything about this game.
First of all, it took me several hours to learn how to play the game and get the...

by  ozzieman48,  Aug 6, 2004
Pros: Everything, weapons, flight, ease, and if you want it hard to fly. NO cpu crashes
Cons: no fast forward, X8 is not enough. No other faults
Review: If you cant by happy with any of the IL2 games then your out of luck, there is nothing that can compair. For the first time even the way that bullets leave the gun to how they hit the ground it looks amazinly REAL. One thing that they got right, but I ...

Epinions Not for beginners

by  shopshred,  Oct 31, 2002
Pros: This game has very detailed graphics
Cons: There is a very steep learning curve
The Bottom Line: This game has a very steep learning curve, therefore it is only recommended for the serious of heart.
Review: Let me start off by saying that I enjoy simulation games and in particular I like flight simulators. I have played MS Combat Flight Simulator I and II, European Air War, Janes Fa-18, Janes F-15, Red Baron and the F-22 Raptor series. I found this game...
