Epinions A worthy sequel

by  onionhead2001,  Sep 21, 2002
Pros: Deep gameplay, HUGE environment, nice graphics, cool extras
Cons: Lame music, a few graphical details are "off"
The Bottom Line: A worthy addition to the Castlevania franchise, and a must for anybody who enjoyed last year's Circle of the Moon.
Review: Harmony of Dissonance is the much-hyped follow-up to last year's Circle of the Moon -- a critically lauded, and immensely popular handheld game, which managed to snag a spot in EGM's "Top 100 Games of All-Time" list. Despite the original's popularity,...

Epinions I better be a tough vampire killer with goofy long hair like that.

by  StarSoldier1, top reviewer in Games ,  Oct 23, 2002
Pros: Very addictive unlinear game play as always!
Cons: Weaker game play than COTM and some unoriginal features.
The Bottom Line: Sweet Harmony but it's no Symphony!
Review: CASTLEVANIA: Harmony Of Dissonance (Konami, September, 2002) When the first CastleVania was released for the then new Gameboy Advance it was one of the most critically acclaimed games for the GBA and it was a great selling piece for hardcore ...

Epinions Like Jessica Simpson, it looks good but seems stupid and easy

by  rader6795,  Jan 4, 2004
Pros: Good, long-lasting gameplay full of exploration...
Cons: ...that would be so much better if challenging. Unimpressive soundtrack. Tries to be "scary." Fails.
The Bottom Line: This game would get probably get five stars had it not been as easy as not laughing at a Jay Leno joke.
Review: Prologue For once, I'll spare you people my long, tangent-laden rants before a game review and actually just get down to the nitty-gritty. Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance isn't a must-own title for the Gameboy Advance. It is, ...

Epinions You must be a Belmont - you are glowing blue

by  32_Footsteps, lead in Games ,  Oct 25, 2002
Pros: Konami knows how to make action games
Cons: They don't know how to make a magic system
The Bottom Line: If it's called the "Rare Ring," shouldn't I have to look harder for it?
Review: At the 2001 edition of E3, Konami did something rather stupid. They only had one system set up to show off "Castlevania: Circle of the Moon," which has since gone down in history as one of the all-time best launch titles for a video game system. Yes,...

Epinions An opinion on Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance

by  kwts,  Sep 12, 2002
Pros: Impressive graphics, large gaming environment, responsive controls
Cons: Poor music, lack of challenge, unoriginal
The Bottom Line: Don't expect too much or you will be disappointed.
Review: Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance is the follow up to the successful Castlevania: Circle Of The Moon and a game I reviewed and enjoyed. This game has been in development for sometime and needless to say I was looking very much forward to it.
