Author's ReviewI have been using Canon cameras for 20 years. This little camera is my third Elph, and I have loved every one. Of course, with time and technology change, this one is the best so far!!!
I received this camera as a gift after losing my last Canon Elph. My first Elph, purchased 8 years ago, is still in perfect working order (just older, so I wanted something with more mega pixels). This camera takes great photographs and has the ability to get as "artsy" as you want. There are several color settings and adjustments that the user can make for very creative original photography. This camera also makes exceptional videos. I would recommend buying a larger memory card when using in video mode though. The videos are clear, and the sound is excellent. A few years ago, I purchased another brand point and shoot digital camera, and I was very disappointed to find that there was no sound to the videos. I promptly returned it and went back to Canon cameras. When using a camera for video, sound is a requirement! Who wants a video with no sound?! This camera also has the ability to playback videos with sound on the actual camera. I've seen others that record sound, but you can only hear it after downloading the file. The software that comes with the camera is easy to use and easy to install. It helps store and sort pictures easily. It even allows you to take the "red eye" out of your pictures. I would highly recommend this product to any of my family and/or friends. Compare prices at 2 stores | All Canon PowerShot SD1000 / Digital IXUS 70 Digital Camera reviewsStores and Prices
